Sorry about the lame background, I didn't really intend to do a detailed background for this since it's just a concept drawing really . 

This is an unusual one for me xD. Generally I don't my own characters unless they have something of a back story. This girlie took me by surprise xD. Her appearance is loosely based on someone I met very briefly, but she made quite an impression on me. Anyway, conveniently enough, I've wanted to make a character like this for a while, but have never had a fully formed picture of her in my head xD...the character I wanted to make was a companion friend for Alexandra in Witch Witch Destiny, since all magical girls need a team to help them xD. (Bear with me, this description is about to get really long x'D) When I first had the idea for WWD, I wanted to base the characters and events around my own life, and add a kind of 'What if we lived in a world where magic existed?' element to make it interesting. So any arguments I had at school would become magical battles in the story, things like that.

Originally I wanted to create a character based on one friend. Her name was Potpourri, she had long pink hair with bell ornaments attached, and she fought with a staff, she also had a pet fox, whose name I can't recall now xD. When I started working on the story again years later, I decided that I didn't want the characters to be representations of us anymore, but something with a much more interesting history xD. So Potpourri then became Selina...who I've only drawn once before here- le-vampire-cat.deviantart.com/… and I didn't draw her eyes x'D. Inspired by the information my friend had originally given me, I decided to give her the power to transform into a fox, rather than having a pet fox...though how that could be useful I'm not sure xD. Both Potpourri and Selina were meant to be kind, shy and gentle artists, but that was about as far as I'd developed the character xD.

Why am I describing all of this? Finally getting to the point I wanted to make x'D. I still had a bunch of characters I wanted to design to be friends with Alexandra and fight alongside her, VERY loosely based on my friends, take small traits, because I don't ever want to offend them by representing them with a character they dislike xD, but naturally, you're inspired by the people you know and love, aren't you? 

So, in the end, this character's appearance is based on a girl I met once BRIEFLY, but actually, I think she DOES have hints of a couple of close friends of mine as well, who probably know who they are if I'm honest xD. 

I THINK I will add this character to my WWD story...Here's what I've got for her so far, but bear in mind that she's a serious work in progress background wise xD.

Her name is Alegra 
She's an art student .
She LOVES bright colors.
She has the kind of outward appearance that some people find scary sometimes, thick black eyeliner, colorful lipstick, deep blue hair, she really stands out from the crowd whatever she's wearing, but she's not scary at all, xD she's not even the kind of person who puts up a front to intimidate people, she's friendly to everyone she meets and quite outgoing. 
She loves running track. Because she's an artsy girl, people often underestimate her athletic ability, but she's very fast on the track, and won lots of medals and trophies as a kid.
She's usually kind and sweet, and takes most criticism well, however, if someone insults her artwork she'll fly into a rage and tear the piece up. After that she'll lapse into a state where she'll start a new piece and won't speak to anyone else for hours. Sometimes she'll spend half an hour on a new piece only to tear it up again x'D.
Does she have a power? She will...I'm not ENTIRELY sure what that power is yet. I'd still like it to have SOMETHING to do with fox's, but I'm not sure I can think of something interesting/useful. Instead her power might lie in her artwork? Like maybe she can draw things that come to life or something? (like foxes )....to be decided xD.
